The Illustrated Centennial History of America ... Bound Together from the Original Parts...

Featuring over 70 Vintage Engravings!

From the Discovery of America to the 100th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Only a single decade after the Civil War that tore this nation apart, America came together to celebrate the events that brought it into existence and defined its principles. This serialized illustrated history produced for the nation's Centennial in 1876 provides a unique look at how Americans perceived their great heritage only a few short years after the Civil War. This stunning 4-volume, leather-bound set reproduces more than 70 vintage engravings from the original volumes.

Bound in beautiful navy blue colored genuine leather, accented with gleaming 22kt gold overlay that matches the gilded page ends of each book. Each book features a satin ribbon page marker. Pages are Smyth-sewn into the binding. All books are printed on acid neutral paper to prevent the pages from turning yellow or brittle over time. A strictly limited edition of just 1,776 sets.

Printed and bound in the USA.
