Alexandre Dumas' Immortal Story of Injustice, Revenge, and Redemption... The Historic 1887 Illustrated Edition.

Unjustly imprisoned for a crime he did not commit, Edmund Dantes escapes from jail, acquires a fortune, and sets out to take revenge on those responsible for his suffering. This breathtaking edition re-creates the oversized, extra-illustrated, 5-volume English language edition of this beloved literary masterpiece that was originally published in 1887.

Alexandre Dumas's immortal story of revenge is presented in a magnificent five-volume leather-bound edition. Each volume features a different image from the story as an onlay. The spines are hubbed, a sign of classic book crafting and accented in precious 22kt gold. Page ends are gilded with a gleaming golden finish. The text and vintage illustrations are printed on archival quality acid-neutral paper to last for generations. The pages are Smyth-sewn into the binding for enhanced sturdiness and also to allow the pages to lie flat. Satin ribbon page markers allow you to always keep your place. The entire set is printed and bound in the USA.

Limited to just 800 hand-numbered sets.
